2nd Amendment Awareness
The 2nd Amendment is essential in protecting fundamental human rights. I adamantly support the right to gun ownership, particularly due to the fact that it empowers the most vulnerable in our society who would not otherwise be able to defend themselves from malicious predators. In fact, studies have shown that nearly 200,000 women use a firearm every year to defend themselves against sexual abuse. Gun control has played a major role in the genocides of the 20th century, with numerous occurrences ranging from Nazi Germany, The Soviet Union, Communist China, and the 1970s in Cambodia and Uganda. If we are serious about lowering crime and the long term protection of freedom, let’s continue to stand up for the one of our most precious rights, which has proven numerous times to be the difference maker between liberty and tyranny.
